My Thoughts: On Taking Advice

I believe everything falls into its proper place and time… we cannot force things to happen. At a certain point, we may regret not to have done something at a particular moment, but when we look back later, we realize that either we, or the moment wasn’t ripe yet for a particular course of action.

I think, sometimes, we just can’t follow advice blindly, for us to see clearly the fruits of the decision we made and value the advice given. Our actions have to be a natural outcome of doing our own inner work; the decision should come willingly from within us– and that takes time. Our ripeness or maturity to do a crucial task takes time. Fortunately though, the moment spent on inner searching or deliberation is never wasted because it is during this period that we gain maturity & wisdom.

We will make mistakes– we are bound to make mistakes as we go along. I guess there isn’t a foolproof method on how to deal with life. The good thing is: more often than not, we learn more from our failures than we do from our successes and any day is never too late to start anew.

Everything happens for a reason– no regrets, only lessons to cherish.
