UPDATE: World's Oldest Mum Burdened by Baby Daughter


Omkari Panwar and her husband Charan Singh Panwar, 77, from Uttar Pradesh, North India, underwent IVF in a bid to produce a male heir to carry on the family name and to take over the family plot of land. Though they already have two daughters who are in their thirties, the elderly couple still desired for a son as daughters are not allowed to inherit property in the country.

They were so elated when in June, Mrs Panwar gave birth to twins - one a boy. She even made it to the world records for being the oldest mother.

However she quoted: "We paid all this money to the doctors for a son, but now we have the extra burden of another daughter as well." Read full report...
